Accessibility

Once you have purchased your General Admission ticket, call our box office at (313) 230-2436 and let us know the date of the show you are attending and any additional accommodations you of your party may need. When you arrive the day of the show, you can notify us of your arrival by calling our ADA coordinator at 313-230-2434 or head directly to the front of the line and our Guest Services team will assist you into the venue. At this time our team will escort you to the ADA section located on the right side of the main floor. If you need assistance at any time, there is a Guest Services team member assigned to the ADA section that can help you with anything you might need. Due to the historic nature of the building, the Balcony is accessible by stairs only.

The Shelter is a general admission venue. Purchase any ticket and accommodations will be provided at the door. To better accommodate your needs, feel free to contact a Shelter representative for further assistance with your ticket purchase. Please note: No accessible restroom is available. Hours: SERVICE FEE FREE tickets for The Shelter can be purchased at The Fillmore Detroit box office at 2115 Woodward - Monday-Thursday 12pm-5:30pm with extended hours on Fridays 11am-6pm. Please call (313) 961-8961 for questions concerning ticket availability. The Shelter box office opens prior to door time, though the time fluctuates from show to show. Please call the venue to see exact times that it will be open in order to accommodate any requests that you may have. On performance nights, available tickets will be sold at the door.

Camera Policy: Professional cameras and/or cameras will detachable lenses are NOT allowed without a valid media pass. Personal point-and-shoot cameras or cellphones are OK. Re-entry Policy: After your ticket has been scanned, there is no re-entry if you leave the venue. ID policy: A valid ID is required to attend any age restricted events and to consume alcohol. Accepted forms of identification include state-issued ID or Driver's License, valid non-expired US Government or Military ID, or an official passport. Bag Policy: Clear plastic, vinyl or PVC bags (maximum size: 12"x6"x12") or small clutch bags approximately the size of a hand (maximum size: 4.5"x6.5") are permitted. Prohibited Items: - Professional photo/video equipment (unless approved photo pass from artist) - Selfie sticks - Video cameras or go-pros - Toy weapons - Masks - Illegal substances/drugs/drug paraphernalia - Pets, unless it is a registered service animal - Laser pointers/glow sticks/LED gloves or microlights - Pacifiers - Eye drops - Metal studded/spiked clothing, jewelry and accessories - Hula Hoops - Markers/pens/spray paint - Balloons/inflatable balls - Candy bracelets/necklaces - Large purses/bags/backpacks/drawstring bags - Weapons of any kind (mini pepper spray/knives/fireworks) - Firearms (including off duty law enforcement and CPL holders)
